Grant, we beseech you, merciful Lord, to your faithful people pardon and peace,
that they may be cleansed from all their sins and serve you with a quiet mind;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

Prayers during this week:

Pray that a time will come when all the people of the world may be enabled to live together in peace, harmony and love;

the Church of the Province of West Africa, and the Most Rev. Daniel Sarfo;

pray for  those in Upper Chase (A), and Fambridge Rd (A,CN,NF);

 those who are unwell including Stephen, Jean B; Jean E; Kay; Gail; David; Jacqui; Kim; Barry; Richard; and those known to us personally; and the family and friends of those who have recently died especially Judy Manley.

Annual Memorial Services are fast approaching—only two weeks away on November 4th (All Saints’ Sunday). Services are at Althorne @ 3 p.m., Stow Maries (for Stow Maries and Cold Norton) and 4.30 p.m. at N Fambridge. Please sign the list (for the departed to be remembered) CLEARLY, preferably in upper case.

War Horses Don’t forget the exhibition in Althorne Church Hall on Saturday October 27th—bring your friends and neighbours with you.

Remembrance Service on Nov. 11th - 10 a.m. NF church, 10.30 a.m. at Cold Norton, and 10.55 a.m. at Althorne War Memorial, then church. Please encourage your neighbours. Well done to one of our members for writing to the MBS reminding drivers to stop out of respect when we are at Althorne War Memorial.

The Diocese has decreed that each parish should have a Parish Information Officer (must be online). So far, only one of our parishes, ironically the smallest, has a volunteer. Please think about who might be your parish’s PIO !
